Tata Motors is set to launch its Curvv EV with a 500 km driving range in 2025

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated coupe SUV, the Curvv EV in India. Showcased in 2022, the Curvv EV Concept will be offered in both ICE and EV configurations as the production-ready model was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2024. The Indian automaker to launch the electric model first in the H2 of 2024 followed by the ICE-powered variant next year.

Tata Motors’ upcoming Curvv EV has been caught several times while testing on roads, offering a brief look both outside and inside. The Curvv EV showcased a more mature appeal and closer to what the mass production model will look like. The front features all LED lights with connect DRL functionality similar to the Punch.ev and the Nexon.ev with its clamshell-shaped hood design. It offers an aggressive front facia with vertical slates and lower grille and squared-off wheel arches reminding of its personality along with split-LED headlights.

The interior will offer several advanced technological features such as ADAS, dual displays, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, new two-spoke steering, standard six airbags, automatic climate control and more.

The upcoming Curvv.ev will utilise Tata’s new Acti.ev platform, offering the car more strength and performance while extending its range and efficiency. It will be the brand’s second car to use its dedicated EV platform after the Punch.ev. It will pack a large battery that will be able to provide a range of up to 500 Km on a single charge and will come with standard DC fast charging support and an 11 kW home charger.

The Curvv EV will feature a coupe-like design with its sloping roofline, new matching alloy wheels and connected taillights. The EV will offer a spacious boot with several other quirks and bits to make it different from every other vehicle in the segment. Upon launch, the Curvv.ev will compete with cars such as the Maruti Suzuki eVX, Hyunai Creta EV, and the upcoming Citroen Basalt EV.
