Tata Motors to launch its electrified Safari soon in India, test prototype caught testing on roads

Tata Motors is working on its new Safari EV that is soon to be launched in the Indian automotive market. The vehicle has been spotted while testing on roads. The upcoming Tata Safari EV will sport the company’s new Acti.ev platform and will offer more range and technology integrated inside the car, similar to the Punch.ev launched a few months back.

On the design front, the Safari EV will share its ques to its ICE-powered model and the Harrier EV showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. It will offer its iconic new facelifted design with enhancements and upgrades made according to its new electrified powertrain. It will feature the similarly connected front and rear lights with DRLs on the front and an uplifted appeal, reminding of its presence.

The exterior bits and appeal with match the Harrier EV while the inside will sport the iconic and more luxurious appeal to the buyers. It will feature dual displays with one for the driver and the other for the infotainment. More features will include a ventilated front great seats and a panoramic sunroof. More interior features will include plush seats with loads of technology that we’ve all seen with the new facelifted model.

Upcoming Tata Safari EV will feature a single and dual electric motor setup, capable of producing up to 250-350 hp. The vehicle will sport a large battery that will deliver a driving range of up to 500 Km on a single charge. Apart from that, Tata will also bundle the e-SUV with a fast home wall charger, and the car will also support DC fast charging. The company’s new Acti.ev platform is expected to offer more range and longer battery tech making it a sturdy buy for its price.

Price & Launch Details

The new Tata Safari EV is set for an early 2025 launch in India and is expected to cost around Rs. 30-35 Lakh (Ex-showroom) in India. It will compete with the new MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, and the upcoming Citroen eC3 and Mahindra EV in its segment.
