Indian E2W manufacturer Pure EV has announced new plans for its partnership with UK-based Pragmatic Design Solutions (PDSL) to strategise its future product lineup. This strategic partnership is aimed to fulfil the demand of both domestic and international markets. For this, both Pure EV and PDSL have created a new roadmap to co-develop their electric vehicles with new solid-state battery tech, similar to several other OEMs, offering more performance and less temperature rise for the batteries.
This collaboration will bring innovative design & performance
The Indian automaker will also enter India’s premium electric scooter market with its newest offering coming soon. With this collaboration, both companies are expected to achieve to develop more products and excite the new-age EV consumers coming from ICE-powered vehicles. Pure EV and PDSL want to create a product that not only meets the demands of the Indian consumers but also offers international quality standards that will make them easier for international markets too, making this collaboration a right decision moving forward with this strategic alliance.
This joint venture will take place in the UK’s Coventry University Technology Park, known as the EV tech hub for the global automotive. Under this partnership, Pure EV will develop production operations with the available talent in the sector with an investment of $50 million (Rs. 416 Crore Approx). Pure EV will enhance its expertise in battery technology and product design while PDSL will offer its engineering talent to the final design, aiming to establish a potent distribution network with vast global supply chain partners. The final product will offer cutting-edge design both in terms of material finish, quality and high-grade battery tech, ensuring both performance and reliability.
The future goal of this collaboration?
Forging this collaboration, Pure EV to launch new products under this partnership in 2025, eyeing the demands of growing electric mobility in India and globally. PDSL has expertise in offering cutting-edge engineering tech and digital tech solutions for more than a decade. The company has worked with several brands such as JLR, Volkswagen, Aston Martin, Polestar, Volta Trucks, Panasonic, LG, Rivian, VInfast, McLaren, Lotus, etc, contributing to their experience and success.
