The Cyberster made its debut at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed after being showcased as a concept in 2021. It signifies the brand’s return to the sports car market after several years and marks its first venture into electric sports car production. Built upon a purpose-built electric platform, the Cyberster demonstrates the brand’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and sustainable mobility.
Stylish & Modern Design
The Cyberster is a stylish two-door convertible sports car that draws inspiration from MG’s illustrious sporting heritage. Its sleek silhouette exhibits classic proportions, accentuated by a sweeping front end adorned with sleek headlights and a striking bumper. The car incorporates distinctive elements such as petal-shaped alloy wheels, a fabric soft-top, and scissor doors, enhancing its appeal. The side profile showcases smooth lines, muscular rear haunches, and distinctive door handles. At the rear, arrow-shaped tail-lights, a wide light bar, and a split diffuser contribute to the car’s sporty aesthetic.
RIch Interior
The interior of the Cyberster showcases a driver-centric design, highlighted by a flat-bottomed steering wheel equipped with various buttons and three digital screens wrapping around the driver to provide infotainment and driving data. The center console accommodates another screen along with physical controls for the roof, drive mode, and climate settings. A sleek grab handle divides the driver and passenger areas, while the overall design draws inspiration from contemporary gaming aesthetics, imbuing the cabin with a sense of modern sophistication.
Pricing & India Launch
The Cyberster is expected to enter international markets by mid-2024, aiming to be an “affordable” sports car with an anticipated starting price of about £50,000 (equivalent to roughly Rs 53 lakh), making it an attractive option even within the Indian market.
