Maruti Suzuki is all set to make a significant push in the electric vehicle segment with the launch of its three brand new electric cars. These EVs will incorporate brand’s new-age design language with their best state-of-the-art technology. These new EVs will come in both SUV and MPV body styles, along with a hatchback. The automaker eyes on a significant market share and will compete with Tata and Mahindra in the future. Here are the brand-new electric cars Maruti Suzuki is set to launch soon in India.

1. Maruti Suzuki YMC MPV

Maruti Suzuki is working on its first MPV for the Indian market that will reportedly make its debut in 2026. Codenamed as YMC, Maruti’s first MPV will be an all-electric vehicle that will sport a single or dual electric motors coupled with a large 60 kWh battery. It will deliver a range of around 500 Km on a single charge similar to the upcoming eVX e-SUV. The YMC MPV will offer up to seven seating configuration and will feature Suzuki’s new-age tech and upscale interior, providing a smooth driving experience.

In addition to these models, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki YMC will also share its underpinnings with its Toyota sibling which is due for 2026-27 launch. Toyota’s YMC-based MPV will be similar to the brands partnership we see now with the Innova Hycross, newly launched Taisor, and other cars.

2. Maruti Suzuki eWX Based EV

Suzuki unveiled its eWX concept globally at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, marking its entry into the mass EV market. This concept will function as a budget-friendly electric vehicle targeted at the Indian market in the future. Maruti Suzuki will price its upcoming eWx aggressively to cater consumer demands and dominate market share, it will ve priced under Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The eWX-based EV will compete with vehicles like the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV in the affordable EV segment in India.

3. Maruti Suzuki eVX

Upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX e-suv will mark as the Japanese giant’s first electric car in India. The eVX that made its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo has gone under several developmental changes and testing and came into limelight again at the Tokyo Motor Show. The eVX has been caught several times during testing on Indian roads, indicating its launch is near in 2025. Upon launch, the Suzuki eVX will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV and the upcoming Tata Curvv EV and the Hyundai Creta EV.
