BYD India has successfully launched its new Seal electric sedan in India, starting at Rs. 41 lakh

BYD has unveiled its latest creation, the Seal electric sedan, marking its entry into the Indian market with a splash. The Dynamic edition of the BYD Seal starts at Rs 41 lakh, while the premium variant starts at Rs 45.55 lakh, while the performance version comes in at Rs 53 lakh.

The BYD Seal showcases a plethora of innovative features from its Double U floating LED headlights at the front complemented by a mesmerizing ripple lamp design. The Seal EV offers an expansive LED tail light coupled with a sleek black diffuser at the rear. The electric sedan also offers electronic hidden flush door handles with elegant 19-inch blade wheel hubs and waterdrop-shaped side mirrors.

Inside, the BYD Seal features a sleek black interior with bolstered sports front seats that offer both heated and ventilated functionality. The sedan also features 60/40 split functionality with comfortable seating at the rear. It features several elements such as a crystal gearshift, with seamless entertainment integration with a rotatable 15.6-inch infotainment display. The sedan also features a HUD display and several other features such as adjustable AC vents, and automatic wipers with dual-zone climate control.

Performance

The new BYD Seal rocks on the new e-platform 3.0 model that offers enhanced safety, practicality and performance. It offers rapid acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The Seal offers rapid fast charging capabilities and can offer 200 Km of range in just 15 minutes of charge. The sedan also delivers a range of over 650 Km on a single charge.

Pre-Booking & Warranty

Customers can pre-book their BYD Seal with a booking fee of Rs. 1.24 Lakh. BYD India’s Sales Head Shrirang Joshi also stated that customers who have pre-booked their electric sedan before March 31 will receive a comprehensive package. It includes a 7kW home charger with complimentary home installation, along with a 3kW portable charger and a mobile supply unit with 6 years of complimentary road assistance and inspection service.

The automaker has already started the bookings for the electric sedan from February 28. Customers who order their Seal sedan before April 30, 2024, are eligible for an exclusive scheme. The brand is also offering warranty coverage of 8 years/ 1.6 lakh Km for both motor and motor controller along with 6 years/ 1.5 lakh Km for the DC assembly and electronic assembly.
