Mahindra is set to launch new variants of its XUV400 EV in India

Mahindra recently updated its new XUV400 EV with a new interior and other significant upgrades. The automaker plans to overhaul its electric lineup by adding new variants of its XUV400 EV. Mahindra plans to launch eight new variants of its XUV400 EV with three options to choose from. While several details are scarce, the Mahindra XUV400 EV currently has two variants, EC Pro, and EL Pro with different battery pack options.

The upcoming variants will include EC L, EC L (O), EC LL, EL LL (O), EL LH, EL LH (O), EL PH, and EL PH (O) for the XUV400 EV. The automaker is set to offer three battery packs starting with a 34.43-kWh, a 39.4-kWh, and a larger battery pack that will offer upto 456 Km of range on a single charge. Followed by 444 Km and 402 Km of range with the mid-spec and the entry-level models.

The upcoming Mahindra XUV400 EV will offer similar performance across all of its lineup as per reports. Its single electric motor currently produces 150 hp of power and 310 Nm of torque, delivering a stunning performance with good agility and steering response compared to Tata’s Nexon EV. According to industry reports, the EV will offer no mechanical changes on its new models.

Mahindra’s Electric 3XO

Mahindra is also working on a new EV powertrain that will come with the electric counterpart of the newly launched XUV 3XO. The electric subcompact SUV will pack a potent powertrain with no major upgrades to its design and styling and is poised to retain several mechanical bits from its ICE-powered siblings.

The Mahindra XUV400 currently starts at Rs 15.49 lakh for the base EC Pro model and goes up to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec EL Pro with the larger battery pack. Mahindra won’t change the pricing with the new variant launch of its EV, and will instead offer several new features and variety between Rs. 15 to 17 Lakh price tag. The vehicle competes with the Tata Nexon EV which also got a facelift last year, along with the MG ZS EV.
