In a recent developer conference held by Ola founder & CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, launched its new startup Krutrim AI’s android application. Not just that, Bhavish also unveiled the plans for its upcoming iOS app and a new Python software development toolkit for its new app. The new upgrades aim to enhance the AI’s accessibility and usability for its developers.
Furthermore, Bhavish also announced a new cloud platform for its Krutrim AI, called Krutrim Cloud during the conference. With the announcement of its new Cloud platform, the AI can be easily accessed by anyone, whether enterprises, developers or researchers wanting to access its capabilities. This move signifies the company’s new cost-effective solution that can reduce its expenses when compared to the competitors.
Krutrim AI’s Features
The newly launched Krutrim Cloud platform offers a range of new features and services catering to the diverse needs of its consumers. Users can utilize its state-of-the-art AI computing power, and its foundational models, and tap into open-source models that can help them to increase their capacity. Not just that, Krutrim Cloud also offers foundational location services such as APIs and SDKs that allow developers to create innovative localized mapping solutions.
Bhavish Aggarwal emphasized Krutrim’s direction with Indian values and data during the launch event as the competitors lack in terms of genuine responses catered towards the Indian users. Currently, the platform supports over 10 Indian languages to make diverse linguistic users feel easy to communicate with. Furthermore, Krutrim AI also assists in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, and ‘Hinglish,’ offering more accessibility and inclusivity.
Achieving $1 Billion Valuation
In January, Krutrim achieved unicorn status following a successful funding round. The startup raised $50 million at a valuation of $1 billion making it among the fastest unicorns in the country. Notable investors in Krutrim AI include Matrix Partners India which has contributed to the company’s growth. The company eyes on achieving more innovation in the AI sector and Cloud computing domain, helping India provide more opportunities whether in terms of jobs or offering more productivity at it.
