New BMW i4 Facelift makes its debut and will launch in India soon, price starts at Rs. 75 Lakh
BMW has revealed its new i4 Facelift electric sedan with a significant update rather than just a cosmetic upgrade. The new BMW i4 Facelift will directly compete with Mercedes-Benz’s EQE sedan in both India and global markets. BMW’s new facelifted i4 offers exterior and interior upgrades with new tech and more performance tuning making it fresh for the 2025 model year.
Design & Features
Talking about the exterior, the new facelifted i4 sports a new matt chrome kidney grille with a closed-off design and a matt silver honeycomb pattern. Its M Sport variant features an updated gloss black rear diffuser and several other performance upgrades. Notable changes also include upgraded light units that give the car a sharper appearance with both low and high beams generated from a single LED module.
Internally, BMW has also introduced a smaller gear selector with its other EVs like the iX1 and iX3 SUVs. The brand has reshaped its climate control air vents that offer a more minimalist design with smaller rotary switches. It replaces the previous side-by-side airflow adjustment system offering a smoother flow of air around the car’s cabin. Both i4 variants come equipped with BMW’s iDrive 8.5 infotainment system and feature an updated steering wheel with illuminated buttons similar to the i5 electric sedan. The i4 M Sport variant gets a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Performance & Range
The 2025 BMW i4 Facelift will be available in three different configurations according to their performance level. The base i4 eDrive35 offers 295 hp while offering a driving range of 500 Km on a single charge. The mid-spec i4 eDrive40 offers 340 hp with a range of around 600 Km on a single charge. The range-topping i4 M60 xDrive produces 544 hp and 795 Nm of torque and offers a range of 520 Km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 260 kmph.
India Launch
BMW has not announced the price and launch details of its new i4 Facelift for India. According to reports, the new i4 Facelift will launch in India at the Rs. 75 Lakh (Ex-showroom) mark for the base model. Currently, the base i4 Drive40 starts at Rs. 72.50 Lakh in India.
