Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of its first electric SUV, the eVX in early 2025 in India. The new e-SUV will boast a brand-new design inspired by the eVX concept showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It rides on Toyota’s new 27PL stakeboard platform, dedicatedly designed for electric cars with new modern architecture. New Spy images reveals a new interior layout of the eVX compared to its concept model showcased at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. It features a modern interior with loads of features and comfort compared to the interior we are used to with the conventional Maruti cars. The new eVX will feature two digital displays, one for driver and other for the infotianment. Next goes features such as wireless charging, ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, new heads-up display, powered front seats, new steering wheel with auto dimming IRVM and many things, setting it apart from he rest of company’s portfolio.

2. Modern Features

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX will share its platform and several features with its Toyota sibling launching after the eVX. Toyota showcased its new Urban SUV concept that will share several components with Suzuki’s eVX, set for 2025 launch. The eVX will offer more features such as ADAS, all LED lighting, pillar-mounted rear door handles, 360-degree camera, new wheels and a brand new dash and centre console along with a single-pane sunroof.

3. Powertrain and Performance

The new Maruti Suzuki eVX will be rocking on Toyota’s new 27PL skateboard architecture. It will sport both single and dual electric motor setup and will pack two battery sizes, 40kWh and 60kWh. The large battery pack will be able to offer a driving range of over 550 Km on a single charge. The EV will also support DC fast charging abilities and Vehicle-to-load (V2L). The new eVX will offers a brand-new experience unlikely seen in the company’s portfolio offered currently.

4. India Launch & Key Rivals

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX has been seen in the prototypes and trials run by the company and is scheduled to launch next year in India. The eVX will compete with rivals such as the Tata Curvv EV, Citroen Basalt EV, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, and the Mahindra XUV400 EV.
