Hyundai is set ot launch 5 brand new EVs in India

Hyundai India is gearing up to expand its EV portfolio in the country by introducing 5 brand new EVs. The automaker currently sells its Ioniq 5 and the Kona EV in the premium electric car segment in the market and with further new models launching in both affordable and mid-range segment. The Korean giant plans to launch new electric cars in the Indian automotive market by 2030.

1. Hyundai Creta & Alcazar EV

Starting with Hyundai’s Creta EV, the ICE-powered mid-size SUV is already the country’s best-selling car in its segment. The electrified Creta will offer more features and design upgrades, built on the same curb appeal and will offer more thrilling driving experience. Expected launch of the Creta EV is set for 2025, it will offer a single or dual electric motor setup and will be able to deliver a driving range of 400-500 Km on a single charge.

Hyundai will also offer the electrified version of its Alcazar SUV after the new facelifted model due for late 2024 launch. The electrified Alcazar will offer more spacious cabin with several feature upgrades and luxury compared to its pre-facelifted model. It will compete with the upcoming Tata Safari EV and the new CItroen eC3 Aircross.

2. Hyundai’s ENtry-Level EVs

The Korean giant is also set to offer the elctrified version of its Venue subcompact SUV in India. It will be positioned below the Creta EV and will borrow several features from its elder sibling in terms of design and interior. Apart from that, the Venue EV is set to offer more safety features apart from ADAS and standard six airbags and will compete with Tata’s Nexon EV MR variant.

After the new electric Venue, the automaker also plans to electrify its most-loved compact SUV, the Exter. The upcoming Exter SUV will be built on a new dedicated EV platform, offering more range and fast charging support. It will compete with the Tata Punch.ev and the MG Comet EV in the market.

3. Hyundai’s Flagship EV

Last but not the least, the Korean giant is also set to launch its performance-focused EV, the Ioniq 5N. Hyundai’s flagship EV targets the audience of the Kia EV6 in its segment, offering blazing-fast performance for the thrill seekers. The electric car will offer bone-tickling performance and is built to showcase the best of Hyundai’s performance division expertise packaged in a nerve-racking machine.
