Maruti Suzuki will soon launch its first electric car, the eVX. Based on Toyota’s 27PL platform, the upcoming Maruti eVX will offer the best of design and affordability and will offer incredible features for the price. The new eVX will launch in 2025 and has already been caught testing on Indian roads. It will pack a 60kWh battery and will deliver a range of over 550 Km and offer latest tech from large touchscreens to ADAS. Similar to the eVX, Toyota will also launch its version of the electric SUV in India, moving forward with the partnership with Suzuki.

2. Tata Curvv EV

Tata Motors to soon launch its new Curvv EV, based on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform. The upcoming electric coupe will offer stunning design and will sport a large battery, capable of delivering a range of over 500 Km on a single charge. It will launch at around Rs. 15 Lakh and will be offered in difference variants with different range options. The new Curvv EV will arrive in India in the later half of the 2024.

3. Mahindra BE.05

Mahindra’s BE.05 is expected to debut in October 2025 and will ride on Mahindra’s new skateboard EV platform. This electric SUV coupe will measure approximately 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. It will pack incredible features and design elements, shaping its futuristic identity with the rest of its cars. Mahindra will launch its BE.05 at a premium price based on its design and features.

4. Hyundai Creta EV & Kia Seltos EV

Hyundai and Kia have partnered with Exide in India for local battery manufacturing. Speculations suggest that Hyundai will introduce the Creta EV later this year. The Creta EV could potentially feature an electric motor sourced from the base-spec Kona EV. Kia, on the other hand, plans to launch an electric RV next year, and the Seltos EV might also be in development.

5. Citroen Basalt Based EV

While the ICE-powered Citroen Basalt Vision will arrive in India soon, its electric version is slated for H2 2025. It will be based on a new platform with Citroen’s electric platform and will offer single or dual electric motor setup with a power of aorund 250 hp.
